So last weekend I was out running errands and I stopped by a local hardware store. I noticed a nicely wrapped pickup truck next to for Ocala Roofing. I made a mental note because within the next year we will need to our roof done; but my significant other is on a fixed income and it makes house repairs challenging. Anyway, the driver of the truck and I headed out the store at the same time. I could tell he was in a rush so I didn’t bother to stop him with my questions. While he was backing out another gentleman walked behind the moving/backing up truck. The gentleman slapped the back of the truck to alert the driver. Immediately the driver pulled over, stopped, got out to check on the guy and extended his apologies. I’m not sure what happened next; but there was a heated exchange of words between the two. The gentleman in the roofing truck, threw up his hands and said, “man I’m not doing this,” and walked away. As I sat there watching this unfold I thought I like this guy…the fact that he stopped to check on the man and was man enough to walk away from an argument….I was impressed. I don’t know when or if we’ll ever be able to afford a new roof; but when we can I’m calling Ocala Roofing. The integrity of a man; the things they do when they don’t you’re watching, is priceless. Last year, while I was getting proposals from different companies to replace the roof at my house, I ended up having a productive conversation about roofs with the owner of Ocala Roofing. I asked questions to which I already knew the answers, just to test if he would take advantage of my ignorance, but he didn't. On the contrary, he was a straight shooter and provided more useful information than I was expecting, without wasting my time with the typical sales pitch. It was so refreshing to get straight and honest answers, that I made my decision to hire them on the same day that we had that conversation, which I normally don't do. Their price was competitive, they showed up on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up everything. This year, I hired them again to install a roof at a rental property where I have a very picky tenant. They managed to keep her very happy and did a great job again. I'd certainly recommend this company for any roofing needs. Old school professionalism is rare to find nowadays. Alanna in the office is on top of everything and doesn't miss a step. Most certainly a 5+ stars company.Update April 2022- Another roof installed and again, a positive experience. This time, there was a small issue. I called Alanna, explained the issue and received a return call from Wayne Smith on the same day. He didn't offer any excuses, his response was "we'll make it right", and they did!

This company is absolutely the best! Ocala Roofing was the last estimate I received for my roof replacement. I am so glad I waited for their estimate! They were almost $2,000 cheaper than any other estimate I received. They were so professional, cleaned up every day after work, were on top of every little thing. These guys were so knowledgeable. When I thought they had the wrong colored shingle, they assured me that it was the correct shingle (which I verified) and Evan explained why the one I had picked was perferable. Alanna is the best and handles any questions with total professionalism. Would do business with them again and will highly recommend them to anyone I know.Let me say one more thing. After the installation, my dryer decided that it didn't want to work - of course I thought somehow my dryer vent got blocked. Wayne himself came to my house to check on my problem only to find out it was blocked down at my vent from the dryer end. This man actually came and totally cleaned out my dryer vent! When my husband and I realized that we needed to replace our roof,we immediately decided to do some research to find reputable roofing companies in our area. Finding roofing companies was not the problem, finding honest,knowledgeable, reliable companies was a bit more challenging. After careful review we decided on five (5)companies and had them each visit our home to provide us with estimates and a timeline for completion of the work/project. My husband was armed with a list of questions to ask in order to garner information about each company's pricing, materials, work practices and most importantly availability/accessibility to its clients. Are they available to answer questions, to do follow up if needed?Do they guarantee their work and are they knowledgeable about their craft/work?The answers to these questions were far more important to us than the actual pricing. Once we met the representative (Austin)from Ocala Roofing Inc. we knew they were the ones to do our job.Wayne and Alaana were phenomenal. Wayne was extremely knowledgeable and was available to answer all our questions. He definitely allayed our anxieties. It was evidently clear that he was an actual experienced roofer and not just the operator of a roofing company. Alaana the office manager, was very accommodating. She was able to schedule our roof replacement for mid December. The crew they dispatched to us was led by Evon and they were absolutely great! They were punctual, cordial and extremely professional. They worked assiduously to complete the job in the time specified. They were thorough in the clean up and waste removal process. We can and would most certainly recommend them to do any roofing job that you might have. You will not be disappointed. My husband Paul and I felt particularly blessed to have found their company to do our roofing job.

I moved into a mobile home where I was told had a new roof. I had to make many indoor repairs and then the roof started to leak where the carport and roof meet. It flooded my front deck each time and made me a nervous wreak. I worked with Alanna to get my house on the schedule asap. Our roof had been replaced in 2005 after the 2 seasons of hurricanes we experienced by a company other that Ocala Roofing and felt that it was getting close to time to reroof again.Wayne had been to our home previously over and issue we were having after our 2005 replacement and made a recommendation to take care of the problem without charging us for the trip. I had promised him that when we needed to reroof again he would be at the top of the list for contractors to call.Wayne gave us an estimate that was lower that his competitors. At first we were told that the earliest they could complete the job would be in late November. I asked to be notified if they had any cancellations or an opportunity to complete the work earlier. Today is October 14 and the reroof was completed yesterday.We were very impressed with the crew he sent to perform the work. They were very methodical and well organized in their work flow.Our roof was completed in 2 days even though they had to replace 4 sheets of plywood and remove 4 layers of felt that the previous roofer had installed.We would highly recommend Wayne and his team at Ocala Roofing for your roofing needs.

Needless to say, the roof has turned into a mess. Ocala Roofing replaced 15 sheets of rotten plywood and a couple hundred feet of fascia board, fixed all leaks, and made the roof secure and look great! Having been in the construction business years ago, I know this endeavor took not only roofing skills, but an in-depth knowledge of how to best approach and complete this job. There were no delays, the crew was on the job everyday, and the house was secured daily against the rain. Wayne even sent his crew out on a Saturday to make sure that everything was done right.Price was more than fair and the finished product was above and beyond what I expected. I currently reside in Massachusetts but recently acquired a residence in Ocala. Before closing on the house I had thorough inspections performed on the property to establish any issues which might need attention be it immediate or in the future. We were desperately in need of a roof for our triple wide manufactured home.I am retired now but have been in construction and building my whole life and am very particular about how things are done. I called Ocala roofing along with a number of other to get an estimate on replacing my worn out and leaking 23 year old roof. Ocala roofing responded quickly and sent Michael Brown out the next day to access the situation. Michael was on time, professional, and knows his business.He gave me a written estimate on the spot and said that he could start in about 3 weeks and that it should take two days to complete the job. He was very concise in explaining how and why they use state of the art, top grade, materials and application systems to ensure a leak free, long lasting roof that is good value for your money. He then proceeded to give me an estimate that I felt was more than fair. A number of the other companies I called did not even show up and after seeing the other estimates and speaking with them we decided to go with Ocala Roofing and we are so glad we did. 8 days later Alanna called from the office to say that a crew would be out the next day @ 7am. The next morning @ 7am they were knocking on my door. Having been in construction for so many years I have to say that was the hardest working crew I have ever seen. That each knew their job and stuck to it. They were very respectful and professional. 6 pm that evening they were pulling out of my property and I had a brand new roof. I was impressed to say the least. My house is not small, over 2000 square feet and they also had to replace 2 skylights and remove the old roof. They went over the whole area around the house with a magnet to make sure there was not left over nails lurking in the grass and I could not find a single piece of anything left to show that they had been there. They had the inspector show up just when he needed to both during the job and for the final inspection. Of course, it passed with flying colors. I have already recommended Ocala roofing to 3 of my close friends who were needing roofs on their homes.We had a great experience with Ocala roofing. Everyone we dealt with from Michael Brown's estimating, to dealing with Alanna in the office, to the roofing crew, were courteous, professional, and knew their business. No one could FIX my roof leak, enter Wayne sent me a contract to repair the leak $1,500.00. Contract sighed , Upon repair job much simpler than expected (totally fixed) revised charge $650.00.
